  9. 1)    Have a Macintosh computer with a network connectionto the Internet; or

  11. 2)    Within Michigan or Washington, DC, you may use MacPPP to dial in via 9600 baud modem 
  12.        to the MichNet.  This requires you have a MichNet authorization account 
  13.        ($40 start-up fee plus $10/month available from Merit Networks Inc., Ann Arbor, 
  14.        Michigan, email: bvandam@merit.edu).
